I want an organic lover
That has no frills or additives
Just quiet gestures of raw emotion
"Oh you look so passionate in monotone color scemes"
Take my arm in your hand
And lead or be led
Find pieces of gravel in my hair
Kiss my eyelids because they are so itchy when I don't get enough sleep
Look at my face when I'm looking
But not when I'm not
And maybe watch me sleep but don't tell me because I will get creeped out
Share a stick of gum - give me the bigger half so I can trade back with you
Pay for stuff with love not money
Count the stars to fill the silence
Brush my hair when it gets tangled
Leave me alone when I just want to think
Let me talk when I can't shut up
Tell me I'm pretty when I feel ugly ugly
But not as filler
Keep your eyes on your own paper
And make me chase you chasing me
Touch my hip like we're dancing when we walk
Lick my ear
Poke elbows and let me hug you from the side
Check my knee reflexes with a spoon
Share your water
Pat my head but not condescendingly
Try to count my ribs when I inhale
Memorize my scent
Draw me bad pictures in pencil
And let me win really infantile battles
Tell me when I'm stupid but kiss me on the cheek
Teach me about things
Become familiar with my neck
Wash your hands a lot
Whisper in my ear in public
Use terms of endearment begrudgingly
And rest your head on mine
Tell me when you're scared and lie to sound brave
Let me hold you holding me
Make sweeping statements so I can correct you and you can correct me correcting you
I just want an organic lover made from soil and sunshine
Grown out of society but sold in society for my consumption
And I will try not to brag or suffocate or mash you up in little pieces or fall in love with you too fast.

You're only as tall as your heart will let you be
You're as small as the world will make you seem
When the going gets rough, and you feel like you may fall
Just look on the bright side, you're awfully six feet tall
